'Quilt of Holes' story - very 'soul warming'

Pamela Grisby, the owner, opened her shop in May of 2003 as a result of a chance conversation that turned into opening her shop within six weeks. Things have progressed along so much that Pam quit her day job to run the shop full time and has had to relocate the shop three times to larger locations just to hold the 2,000 bolts of fabric, tons of books, notions, embroidery supplies and machines her shop carries. The shop is known for their bright, wild and fun fabrics, with lime green as their theme color. They carry Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler, Jane Sassaman batiks and many other lines.

Pam's shop recently became a Husqvarna Viking sewing machine dealer and her customers rave about the machines (Mary owns a Designer 1 and loves it!!!!)

The staff at Fabric Krazy have been customer focused since the day they opened and make it a priority to greet everyone and point them in the right direction. Pam enjoys building the kits to help quilters begin that new quilting project. Being surrounded by beautiful, bright fabrics and her wonderful customers everyday makes Pam's job as a shop owner a joy. Her favorite advice for her customers is "Rules were made to be broken. Don't let someone else influence what you want to do.......Its your quilt, go for it!"

Pam recently added a full line of Floriani threads for embroidery and plans to go computerized for check out and inventory.

If you need any additional incentive to stop by the shop, be sure to do it when you're hungry because they're surrounded by eating establishments - you can take care of two things in one trip!

So, if you're passing through Baton Rouge along Interstate 12 north of Milwaukee, jump off at exit 4 and head north for a block to Fabric Krazy .............and tell them Jeff and Mary sent ya.........
