The Quilt-n-Bee Quilt Shop is located in Traverse City, Michigan, on South Airport Road West between Barlow Street and South Garfield Avenue in the strip mall behind the Taco Bell.
Sharon Kaiser and her daughter, Laura Hazen, are co-owners and they opened their shop on June of 2003 so they could create an outlet for their creativity. Their greatest satisfaction is helping customers on projects and seeing the results. Over the years many of the quilters that frequent the Quilt-n-Bee have become good friends of Sharon and Laura. Gives the shop that 'homey' atmosphere and that adds to the enjoyment these ladies receive from showing all the latest additions to the shop's abundant supply of material and patterns.
The shop offers everything from smocking to wool to needle felting in addition to being a full service quilt shop.
The Quilt-n-Bee is sponsoring a nationally-renown instructor, Jo Morton, in April of 2008, so you'll want to sign up for that one in a hurry.
The Quilt-n-Bee is one of Mary's (my lovely wife and devoted quilter) required stops on our trips up north from Port Huron. Check the ShopFacts link above for a map and other information.
